Meet Cynthia J. Orme, LPC

After several years in  management positions in Houston in the telecommunications industry, Cynthia made her transition to the mental health field in 1985. She has worked in this field in both Texas and New Zealand. In 2000, she moved into career transition development with the international firm, Drake Beam Morin (now Lee Hecht Harrison).
 
In the healthcare field, as Director of Clinical and Public Health Services, she provided leadership on national clinical and public health policies and procedures. Cynthia developed remote counseling services for clients. In New Zealand, she ensured that programs and services fit the cultural needs of the Maori, Pacific, and Asian communities. She also deveoped programs and marketed the programs to the community
 
Cynthia holds an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Houston, Clear Lake, a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Houston, a certificate in Professional Mentoring and Coaching Skills from the Unitec Institute of Technology, Auckland, New Zealand and she is a Licensed Professional Counselor.
